A slow-moving brush fire broke out in a Spring Valley canyon early today but the flames were contained within an hour, authorities said.
The fire near Quarry Road erupted around 4 a.m. and was contained by 5 a.m., according to Cal Fire.
No injuries or damages were reported. The cause was under investigation.
