Woman Killed In Motorcycle Crash In La Mesa, 2 Other Riders Flee

The two other riders, a man and a woman, remained at the scene briefly, but fled on foot before officers arrived, officials said.

LA MESA, CA — Authorities Friday identified a 38-year-old woman who was killed when the motorcycle she was riding on with two others crashed near an Interstate 8 onramp in La Mesa.

Theresa Chenelle Clouthier of El Cajon was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the San Diego County Department of the Medical Examiner.

The crash was reported shortly before 11:20 p.m. Thursday near the Severin Drive onramp to westbound Interstate 8, California Highway Patrol Officer Travis Garrow said.

Three people were riding on a 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster at a high speed when the person driving the motorcycle lost control for unknown reasons and it crashed, ejecting all three people, Garrow said.
