2 Lafayette Homes Damaged By Fire

LAMORINDA, CA — Contra Costa County Fire Protection District officials are investigating the cause of a fire in Lafayette early Monday that left two homes damaged.

Firefighters responded at 2:11 a.m. to Hawthorn Drive and arrived to find a fire between two homes that had spread to both attacks and overhead power lines, fire officials said.

All occupants of the two residences were confirmed outside and uninjured, and the blaze was contained in about 30 minutes, according to the fire district.

The residents of both homes have been displaced for the near future because of damage to the home and utilities.
