Artisan Bistro, Chevalier Make 2012 Michelin Bib Gourmand Listing

The Michelin Guide San Francisco, Bay Area & Wine Country 2012 is out, rating fine kitchens and hotels throughout the Bay Area -- from Los Gatos in the south to Geyserville in the north -- and two local restaurants were singled out for special distinction.

Lafayette's and were both ranked among 77 Michelin "Bib Gourmands," or restaurants which serve two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less.

It was a little early to make contact with the owners but we're sure the Marquez family and Philippe Chevalier are happy with the mention. If you haven't visited either restaurant you may want to.
