Member volunteer Allison Howells delights in the "Disneymania," event that, over the years, has evoked goodhearted memories in all of us.
The dedicated member volunteers at Assistance League Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way, in Lafayette, are whistling while they work as they prepare for the annual “Disneymania” event, scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 16. The varied and extensive inventory stands up to the most discerning of “Mickey” aficionados.
Spanning 60 years of state-of-the-art entertainment and fueled by innovative financing and cutting edge media coverage, i.e., television, these timeless commemorative items include classic to modern characters, as well as clothing for adults, children and infants. Colorful and magic-like Disney costumes, some of them from the movies “Star Wars” and “Frozen,” promise to fulfill everyone’s sense of adventure. Large scale stuffed animals such as Pooh, Mickey and Tigger, Minnie and Princess figures complete this award winning cast.
