Update: BART Resumes Stops at Lafayette Station

BART trains are once again stopping at the Lafayette station.

Orinda police confirmed they assisted officers from the Lafayette Police Department in an arrest, but Lafayette police have not provided further details on the incident.

Earlier:

BART trains are not stopping at the Lafayette station due to police activity, BART officials said this afternoon.

Shortly before 1 p.m., BART officials announced that trains wouldn’t be making stops at the station.

BART police said it was done as part of assistance called for by the Lafayette Police Department.

Lafayette police were not immediately providing more details about the police activity.
