Caldecott Tunnel Closures Planned This Week

LAMORINDA, CA — Heads-up! If you have a non-traditional commute or you're planning a special event that takes you through the Caldecott Tunnel, allow for extra travel time this week or consider taking an alternate route.

Caltrans has scheduled a full closure of the Caldecott Tunnel's bores on westbound Highway 24 to conduct an annual inspection. The closure will happen Monday through Thursday of this week, from 9:30 p.m. until 4:30 a.m.

Here is the closure schedule:

• Left Bore: Monday, June 17th and Thursday, June 20th
• Right Bore: Tuesday, June 18th and Wednesday, June 19th
