LAMORINDA, CA — Worried residents are calling local fire departments to ask where the fire is, and should they evacuate. Currently, the only working wildfire in the East Bay is in Concord. Another fire north of us in Yolo County is also sending smoke into the area.

The fire in Concord started mid-morning Monday. It threatened homes, but there have been no reports of burned homes or injuries. The fire's forward progress was halted at 25 acres.

The Sand Fire in Yolo County has burned more than 2,000 acres and has forced evacuations. Seven structures, not homes, have been lost. No injuries have been reported. That fire began on Saturday.
