Diablo Ballet Talk at Moraga Library

On Thursday April 5th, Diablo Ballet and the Moraga Library present Inside the Dancer's Life: Black Swan & Beyond. The talks is 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM at the library, located at 1500  St Mary's Road in Moraga.  Admission is free for all ages.
 
The discussion will focus on the demanding life of a professional ballet dancer - from years of demanding training, world travels, and injuries. Also discussed will be the Academy Award winning movie Black Swan. Did the movie get the world of ballet right? Lauren Jonas, Diablo Ballet Artistic Director, will moderate the panel which will include Diablo Ballet dancers sharing their personal stories of struggle and success in the world of professional dance.

In addition, Toba Singer, noted Bay Area dance critic and author of the book First Position, will join the panel to share her insights.   
 
A free drawing will take place at the talk where you can win tickets to a future Diablo Ballet performance.
