Lafayette Earth Day Celebration

The Lafayette Library and Learning Center will turn into a giant, family-friendly venue that celebrates learning about the environment. Suitable for the entire family.

  • Listen to live music from local musicians at the outside library amphitheater (near the book statue).
  • Stop by the Arts and Sciences Center for special kids crafts, face painting and special displays by Lindsey Wildlife Museum and Lawrence Hall of Science.

Get Informed, Get Involved

  • Showcase of Sustainable Lafayette Projects - Learn about all the projects that are making Lafayette more earth-friendly, including the unveiling of GoLafayette.
  • Watch "Watershed" and short movies in the Community Hall and listen to a lecture on grey water. 
  • Stroll Golden Gate Way to visit displays by selected organizations and local companies. 
  • Visit the Community Garden open house.

ALSO: Again this year a “self-propelled” parade will
depart Stanley at 11:30am.  Bring your festively-decorated bike, skateboard, scooter, wagon, or anything else with wheels. Prizes given out for best decorations using recycled materials, and all participants will receive free Chinook Books (green coupon books) worth $20!
