The Rotary Club of Lamorinda Sunrise is increasing its presence in the community. Join us on June 18th, 6 p.m. @ the Lafayette Veterans Memorial Building. We will be highlighting a new partnership with the Buena Vista Auxiliary to help expand their Tutoring program. The Buena Vista Tutorial Program pairs credentialed teachers with local elementary school children who read below grade level. After participating in the program, 95% of the children show significant improvement in their reading skills, self-confidence and self-esteem. Additionally, we will highlight our Rotary Home Team program. The Rotary Home Team - HOme Maintenance for the Elderly members visit homes across the east bay to assist the elderly with simple home repairs such as light bulbs in hard to reach areas, mending screens, repairing squeaky doors, and more.
