What: The SMC Jazz Band's spring concert features visiting professor Dave Eshelman and SMC student vocalist Paige Palmer, as well as various other student musicians. The band will perform arrangements of standard jazz works including When You're Smiling, On Green Dolphin Street, Things Ain't What They Used To Be, and Groovin' Hard made famous by the Buddy Rich Big Band. Benny Golson's I Remember Clifford will feature vibraphonist Stephanie Webster.

Vocalist Paige Palmer will be featured on two Frank Sinatra arrangements and a beautiful Christina Aguilera composition - You Lost Me.
The headliner for the concert is professor Dave Eshelman, internationally acclaimed trombonist, composer, and music educator. Dave is a visiting professor in the Music Department this Spring and was kind enough to join the band for this concert. He will be featured on two of his arrangments, Love You Madly and L Bird, and will also be featured on his own composition - Mystique.
This hour-long concert will also feature other members of the band as soloists, which includes:
