This Legion of Honor exhibition, opening February 18 and running through June 17, traces the evolution of the British Aesthetic Movement from a small circle of progressive artists and poets, through the achievements of innovative painters and architects, to its broad impact on fashion and the middle-class home. Masters as diverse as painters Dante Gabriel Rossetti, James McNeill Whistler and designer William Morris are represented.
