LAMORINDA, CA — Are you seeing smoke? This may be the cause — the Moraga-Orinda Fire District is conducting a controlled burn at Painted Rock between now and around noon.

Firefighters are reducing fuels in the area as part of vegetation management activities. The controlled burn also serves as an exercise for area firefighters to better prepare them for the upcoming fire season.

If you have breathing problems, the fire district recommends that you keep windows and doors closed, and set HVAC systems on recirculate.
