$28,000 Raised For Man Killed In Barcelona Terrorist Attack

The Lafayette man was killed in a terrorist attack in Barcelona last week.

LAFAYETTE, CA — A GoFundMe account for the family of Jared Tucker, the only American who died in last week's terrorist attack in Barcelona, has grown to more than $28,000.

Tucker and his wife, Heidi Nunes, were on their honeymoon, delayed to one year after their wedding. Tucker died when an ISIS inspired terrorist drove a van for 6 blocks on a sidewalk, killing 13 and injuring more than 100.

On Monday, police in Spain shot and killed the suspected terrorist in a community outside of Barcelona.

According to the GoFundMe listing, "All donations will go directly to Heidi to assist her with funeral and other expenses. In addition, Heidi will set up a trust where a portion of the donations will be placed for future distributions to Jared's three daughters to assist in their education and other needs at the discretion of the trustee."

The GoFundMe account is continuing to accept donations.
