Hope Hospice Names Interim CEO

Since 1980, Hope Hospice has been providing hospice care, grief counseling support and community education to families in the East Bay. Now, a new man is at the helm.

Capt. Craig Eicher, president of the Hope Hospice Board of Directors, announced that the board has appointed Pleasanton resident Bob Boehm as interim CEO as they conduct a nationwide search to replace former CEO Victoria Emmons, who is relocating to Montana. Boehm will step down from his position as a member of the Hope Hospice board to take on this interim role.

“Bob joined the Hope Hospice Board of Directors in October 2014 and is very familiar with our organization,” says Eicher. “During this transition, his primary emphasis will be on guiding the organization and recruiting a new chief executive officer. With his business background, years of experience and knowledge of our community, Bob is a great asset to Hope Hospice and the families we serve.”

Boehm’s career has primarily been in consulting, and he has extensive experience in business planning, operations and finance. He recently retired from Deloitte Consulting, where he worked as a director for twelve years. In the healthcare sector, he worked with clients such as Kaiser Permanente, Allergan, Gilead Sciences and Nectar Life Sciences to help them implement ideas and improve results through change management approaches.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Chicago.
