LAMORINDA, CA — A garage sustained serious damage Saturday night in a single-alarm fire in Lafayette, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said.
The fire, in the 3800 block of Quail Ridge Road, was reported at 6:22 p.m. Saturday.
Fire Capt. Joe Ottolini said the fire was contained quickly, and that the adjacent house sustained only minimal damage.

No one was injured in the fire, but a car inside was destroyed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Ottolini said.
