Lafayette Mom Asks If Yarn Artist Has Moved Into Walnut Creek
A Lamorinda Patch reader venturing over the city limit to do some shopping in Nut Creek wonders if a local artist struck there, too.

Those of you who read in and commented - and there were a lot of you - on who like to swoop into a new town and wrap a utilitarian element in colorful yarn were wondering if they had expanded their territory recently.
"My son Matt and I saw this red Target ball turned into a beach ball (sewn up and then zippered on)Ā at the Walnut Creek branch this morning," wrote Lafayette Patch reader "Sarah." "...Wondering it it's a prank or intentionally done by Target?"
Hmmm. To us, this doesn't look like the work of "Streetcolor," a Berkeley artist who likes to find non-descript civic fixtures and turn them into colorful, yarn-wrapped creatures.
