Prescribed Burn In Moraga Thursday
The burn will be used as a training exercise for local fire departments. Expect to see smoke, Lamorinda!
LAMORINDA, CA — Don't be alarmed if you see smoke on Thursday.
A few weeks ago we were dealing with wildfires, but our cooler fall weather will allow the Moraga-Orinda Fire District (MOFD) and several cooperating fire agencies to conduct a live-fire training on the John Muir Land Trust’s Painted Rock property in Moraga, across from the Rheem Valley Shopping Center.
Residents in the Carrol Ranch and Buckingham Drive neighborhoods may see or smell smoke between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

There will be lots of fire equipment in the area, and the smoke may reduce visibility for drivers.
