Prescribed Burns In Lamorinda This Week

LAMORINDA, CA — If you see smoke coming from Wildcat Canyon Regional Park this week, chances are that it's just a prescribed burn.

The Orinda Police Department issued an advisory saying the burns are scheduled to take place through Friday.

The prescribed burns by the Moraga-Orinda Fire Department have the dual purpose of removing overgrown vegetation and providing as training conditions for wild land fires.
