Project Music Unlimited club at Campolindo helping spread music to East Bay schools
Campolindo High School students helping inspire young musicians outside the local community

Do you love music? Do you love to help the community? If so, Project Music Unlimited is a great group to be a part of or contribute to.
Project Music Unlimited is a group of students from Campolindo High School who work to spread the joy of music beyond our community to children without access to instruments or music programs. We help by collecting donated instruments that are not longer in use, and giving them to organizations and schools, most of whom are part of the West Contra Costa Unified School District. WCCUSD provides services to 48 schools, and only a fraction of them have music programs, which they are in the process of rebuilding.
In addition, to help spread our love of music, we plan on playing and having mini performances at schools to inspire young musicians. In the future, we also want to give occasional voluntary music lessons to students who do not have the necessary resources to have their own private lessons. Also, we are working on inviting other schools’ students to Campolindo Music concerts to promote music. In the short time we have been a club, we have been very successful in widening the spread of music enjoyment and awareness. So far, we have received many instrument donations of all varieties, such as flutes, violins, cellos, drums, and saxophones, that are already being used by students in WCCUSD schools.

People in our community can help by donating instruments--wind, string, brass, or percussion; even recorders are extremely beneficial. Donating your used recorders is a great way to put them to use after elementary school sessions. Recorders can be very useful to get young musicians started before they learn how to play a more advanced instrument. Cash donations are also appreciated, as they can be used to buy or repair instruments, or to buy introductory music books. We are always accepting donations, year-round!
It is our goal to inspire young, rising musicians in the East Bay, and provide them with the necessary resources to develop a passion and understanding for music. Everyone can be a part of this organization to help deliver the love of music, even if they’re not currently a musician.
