Toast Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s 50th with a Free Root Beer Float at the Way Side Inn Thrift Shop in Lafayette!

One of more than 120 chapters, Assistance League® of Diablo Valley is a nonprofit, member volunteer organization dedicated to improving lives in our community through hands-on programs. March 8, 2017 marked its 50th anniversary with members and community dignitaries celebrating a history rich in achievement and well deserved pride at the Clubhouse at Boundary Oak, in Walnut Creek.
On Saturday, April 22, anniversary festivities will continue with an ice cream social at the Way Side Inn Thrift Shop, Assistance League of Diablo Valley’s primary funding source, located at 3521 Golden Gate Way in Lafayette.
Anyone who likes free root beer floats is welcome to “party hardy” from 2 to 4 pm. Anyone who likes a 50% off sale on clothing and shoes is also welcome.

Music provided by the Stanley Jazz Band Messengers, touted as their top band by director Bob Athayde, will put you in touch with your “inner jive.” Also in attendance, Lafayette Mayor Mike Anderson, Former Assemblywoman Lynn Leach, and Lafayette Chamber of Commerce President Jeff Lifson will offer their kind wishes.
Look for the dedicated thrift shop member volunteers, resplendent with soda jerk hats and red aprons, to help you navigate the crowds.
