UPDATE: BART Police Make Arrests In Orinda Armed Robbery
An adult and two juveniles have been taken into custody in connection with the March 8 robbery of a BART customer in Orinda.

BART police have taken an adult male and two juveniles into custody in connection with the armed robbery of a female BART customer at the Orinda BART station parking lot March 8.
Chief's Adjutant Era Jenkins said detectives confirmed the arrests, but said the trio is still being interviewed and that additional information was limited. She said the adult male may be connected to other local crimes -- and that was why investigators were withholding his name.

"Please tell your readers that we would like to advise them to be aware of their surroundings at all times, and to report any suspicious behavior to BART PD Dispatch at 510.464.7000," Jenkins said. "Programming (the number) into their cell phones is a good idea."
The crime was reported shortly after 7 a.m., when a lone black male in his 40s approached a woman commuter, brandised a handgun and robbed her of her purse and briefcase. A monetary loss was not established.
