Woman Pulled From Creek Near Lafayette BART Station
BREAKING: The rescue was performed down a steep embankment.

LAMORINDA, CA — Rescue crews pulled a woman from a creek near the Lafayette BART station Wednesday evening but it is still unclear how she ended up there, according to a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District spokesman.
The woman was discovered at the bottom of a steep creek embankment near the station's south parking lot at about 7 p.m., Fire Marshal Robert Marshall said.
It took crews using a rescue rope system about 25 minutes to pull her to safety, but it is unclear how long she had been stuck or what led to her falling down the embankment, Marshall said.
