Shelter Dog's Tiny Paw Reaches Out of Kennel, Hoping Someone Will Hold It (dogtime.com) — A Lancaster animal care center is sharing the story of Ronnie, a one‑year‑old pit bull who gently reaches his paws through his kennel bars hoping someone will hold them. After being abandoned and returned multiple times despite doing well with larger dogs, he’s again waiting in Lancaster for a family willing to give him a safe, permanent home.
   

4. New Agreement Advances High-Speed Rail Connection Through Palmdale (avdailynews.com) — Regional transportation planners have signed a new agreement to advance a future high‑speed rail link between Palmdale and Victor Valley, a project guided in part by Lancaster’s representatives on the High Desert Corridor agency. While construction isn’t approved yet, the corridor could eventually connect Antelope Valley travelers to California’s statewide high‑speed rail and Brightline West service toward Las Vegas.
