• Mezzetta announces recall after TikToker claims to find dead mouse in peperoncini jar (eastbaytimes.com) — A major pepper and sauce producer with offices in Larkspur has voluntarily recalled one lot of 32-ounce Golden Greek Peperoncini jars after a viral TikTok video appeared to show a dead rodent inside. The company says no illnesses have been reported, but customers are urged not to eat jars from the affected lot and to contact Mezzetta for guidance while an FDA-reviewed investigation continues.
