Central Marin Police To Conduct A Special Traffic Operation

On Thursday, May 23, Central Marin Police will focus on cell phone and seatbelt enforcement in Corte Madera, Larkspur and San Anselmo.

MARIN COUNTY, CA -- If you're going to driving in certain Marin County cities next week, make sure you're buckled up. Central Marin Police Authority officers will be out conducting a special traffic enforcement operation.

On Thursday, May 23, the Police Authority's traffic team will focus on cell phone and seatbelt enforcement at various locations in Corte Madera, Larkspur and San Anselmo. The locations were selected, according to the CMPA, by a review of collision and citation data, as well as in response to citizen complaints.

"CMPA’s goal is to make our streets safe for everyone and to remind motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists to be alert, aware and follow the rules of the road while driving, walking or cycling," the Police Authority said in a statement. "We are all responsible for traffic safety in our communities."
