Central Marin Police Raise $1,750 For Marin General Hospital

As part of the Pink Patch Project, officers wore pink patches in October to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer.

LARKSPUR, CA – A local breast health center is benefiting from the Pink Patch Project, thanks to Central Marin Police Authority.

As part of the Pink Patch Project, police officers across the country wore pink patches in October to raise awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer. Central Marin Police Authority raised $1,750 during the campaign and presented the check to Marin General Hospital's Breast Health Center last week.

The Pink Patch Project started with a few law enforcement agencies in Southern California in 2013. Since then the program has expanded nationwide.

This was Central Marin Police Authority's first year participating in the public awareness and fundraising campaign. The agency selected Marin General Hospital's Breast Health Center in Greenbrae as its designated charity.

Central Marin Police Authority serves Corte Madera, Larkspur, San Anselmo and portions of Greenbrae. The agency's Pink Patches are still available for purchase from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at both the Larkspur and San Anselmo stations.
