Corte Madera Man Shot During Fight
The fight broke out in the parking lot of a 7-11 Store.

A Corte Madera man was shot in the chest during a group fight in San Rafael early Friday morning, a San Rafael police sergeant said.
Police responded around 2:30 a.m. to the fight that involved several people in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 703 B St., Sgt. Carl Huber said.
Officers found Anthony Williams, 22, of Corte Madera, suffering from a gunshot wound, Huber said. He was treated at Marin General Hospital and released.

Police broadcast a description of a vehicle occupied by the suspects who fled, and Central Marin Police Authority officers stopped it on Fourth and Ross streets, Huber said. Jonathan Howlin, 22, of Auburn, a passenger in the vehicle, was identified as the shooter and he was arrested for attempted murder, Huber said.
The driver, James Saucer, 23, of Point Reyes Station, was arrested for attempted murder and being an accessory to a felony, Huber said. Both men were booked in the Marin County Jail.

The incident is still under investigation.
