Deadline Extended For Marin County Planning Commission Seat
Residents of Corte Madera, San Rafael Canal area, South San Rafael, West Marin, West Novato, San Geronimo and Homestead Valley can apply.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The deadline has been extended to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, to apply for a seat representing District 4 on the Marin County Planning Commission.
Appointed by the Marin County Board of Supervisors, the Planning Commission reviews and makes recommendations on all countywide and community plan elements and amendments, master plans and rezonings. The commission has final authority — pending appeal to the Board of Supervisors — on subdivisions, design reviews, use permits and other planning decisions appealed from planning staff actions.
Planning commissioners also hear appeals of the findings of the deputy zoning administrator and actions of the county's planning staff.
Residents of western Marin, western Novato, San Geronimo, San Rafael Canal neighborhood, southern San Rafael, Corte Madera and Homestead Valley are invited to apply for the District 4 seat.
