We announced a food writers conference a few months ago, and the reaction was unanimous: why don't you combine it with the Travel Writers & Photographers Conference? We scratched our heads and wondered "Why hadn't we thought of that?" After all, food and travel go together like…well, food and travel. So, introducing the Book Passage Travel, Food & Photography Conference!

This Conference has an extraordinary reputation among publishers, editors, and writers. Now, with the addition of food-writing classes and panels, that reputation is about to grow. This four-day Conference offers an array of writing and photography workshops in the morning, a full afternoon of panels and discussions, and evening faculty presentations. There are optional, working field trips to explore the resources of the Bay Area.

The faculty includes publishers, magazine editors, photographers, travel essayists, food writers, restauranteurs, guidebook writers, and more. There are hours of informal interaction between faculty and students during lunch and in discussions that often last late into the evening.

Alumni of this Conference have published books, articles, and photos—many as the direct result of lessons learned and contacts made at the Conference. This is an exciting moment in the history of this nationally known Conference!
