Four Local Measures on June Ballot in Marin County

Arguments may be filed by 4:30 p.m. March 21.

News from Marin County Elections Department:

MARIN COUNTY, CA - Marin County residents soon will have the opportunity to vote on local measures that include school, municipal and special district measures.

The June 7 ballot will include a bond measure for Marin Community College District, a measure continuing the levy for fire protection and emergency medical services for the City of Belvedere, and a parcel tax measure for the San Rafael Public Library.

The San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority has included a parcel tax measure that encompasses the Bay Area counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma, and the City and County of San Francisco.

Written arguments for and against these measures may be filed by the governing board, members of the board, bona fide associations of citizens, or any resident who is eligible to vote on the measure.

The deadline for filing arguments is 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 21. Completed submission and signature forms are required at the time of filing. Arguments for city or town measures are filed with the city or town clerks and with the County government for those in unincorporated areas. Contact the respective clerk about requirements and deadlines.

The list of measures and information about filing arguments can be found atwww.marinvotes.org. Documents are available for public examination in the Elections Department for 10 days from the filing date.

A sample ballot and informational pamphlets will be mailed to registered voters the final week of April, and official ballots will be mailed May 9.
