Guns, Drugs Recovered in Greenbrae Traffic Stop: Police
The driver, a 46-year-old Larkspur man, was arrested on various felony and misdemeanor charges, the Central Marin Police Authority said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Officers with the Central Marin Police Authority reportedly recovered guns, ammunition and drugs from a convicted felon Sunday during a traffic stop in Greenbrae.
The driver, 46-year-old James Tavaszi of Larkspur, was stopped around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Bon Air Center on Sir Frances Drake Boulevard, according to a statement from CMPA.
Tavaszi was found to be on probation for felony narcotics violations, police said, allowing officers to search his car.

Three loaded handguns, five high-capacity magazines, 140 rounds of ammunition and suspected narcotics were allegedly found in his Honda, according to the statement.
Officers arrested Tavaszi on suspicion of a variety of felony and misdemeanor charges, including possession of a firearm by convicted person, concealed firearm in a vehicle, possession of illegal high-capacity magazines and possession of narcotics.

Tavaszi was booked at Marin County Jail, with his first court appearance in the case scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
