Patch Luanches New Site In Saratoga

Greetings, Patch readers!

I'm Sheila Sanchez and I'm excited to introduce myself as the local editor of Saratoga Patch.

Here you'll find the latest local news about Saratoga, from all the great concerts at The Mountain Winery to things going on at Saratoga City Hall.

I also serve as the editor of Los Gatos Patch, which went live on Dec. 20, 2010. Los Gatos and Saratoga have so much in common and so many shared services. 

But we also understand Saratoga is not Los Gatos, and that's why we're here, and launching Saratoga Patch, a place where you'll find content - that's the news and information part of the site - and what you see on lots of other news sites, but also conversation, where we look for your comments and engaging thoughts about this beautiful town in which you live. Patch is a two-way street; we'll give you some things to consider, but we want you to be a part of the dialogue.

I've lived in the South Bay for more than 10 years. I've worked as a reporter and editor for more than 20 years. Wow, that's a long time! It shows you how much I enjoy community journalism. 

I love learning and discovering communities. And I'm excited about getting to know the City of Saratoga. My office will be all of this beautiful city. One day, you'll find me at Hakone Japanese Gardens, and another day you'll spot me cruising down The Golden Triangle, the area bounded by Saratoga Avenue, Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and Cox Avenue.
