Illinois Sex-Crimes Fugitive Busted in Marin: Police

The man was living on a friend's sailboat in Richardson Bay, according to police.

SAUSALITO, CA- Sausalito police on Monday arrested a fugitive who is wanted for allegedly committing sex offenses in Illinois, a police lieutenant said.

An officer recognized Grant Wojahn, 35, from a flier issued by the FBI’s San Francisco office. The officer was responding to a call about a person making threats in the area of Liberty Ship and Marinship ways, Lt. Bill Fraass said.

Wojahn, who was wanted on a no-bail arrest warrant for the alleged sex offenses in Illinois, was living on a friend’s sailboat in Richardson Bay, according to police.

He was arrested on the warrant and booked into Marin County Jail, Fraass said

There is no information indicating that Wojahn’s friend knew he was wanted by the FBI, Fraass said.
