LARKSPUR-CORTE MADERA SCHOOL DISTRICT Upcoming Board of Trustees Vacancies, November election filing Period for Open Board Seats Public service as an elected official serving as Trustee on the Board of Education for the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District is a distinguished and honorable position. LCMSD has a tradition of high-performing, dedicated, and collaborative governance teams. The District invites interested members of its school community to learn more about this opportunity to support public education. Please see the information below. Valerie Pitts, Superintendent of the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District, announced three open seats on the Governing Board—two four-year terms and one two-year term. All terms begin December, 2015. Persons interested in serving as a Trustee on the School Board must file an application with the Marin County Elections Office. The filing period for interested candidates is July 13 through August 7, 2015. If any of the District’s incumbents do not file by August 7, there will be an extension period to August 12 for non-incumbents only. Interested persons must live within the boundaries of the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District and be registered voters. All applications will become public record upon receipt by the Elections Office.
