Larkspur Election 2017 Results: Sales Tax Extended

About ​66.7 percent of voters voted in favor of Measure B, according to the Marin County Registrar of Voters.

LARKSPUR, CA – Voters extended a sales tax in Larkspur, according to unofficial results released Tuesday night by the Marin County Registrar of Voters.

With all the precincts reporting, about 66.7 percent of voters voted in favor of Measure B, an extension of a 0.75 percent sales tax for roads and other city services that provide $1,650,000 a year. About 33.2 percent of voters voted against the measure, which needed majority approval to pass.

As for the Larkspur Town Council, no challengers stepped forward, so all three incumbents were re-elected to the council in virtually a three-way tie. Mayor Kevin Haroff came in first place with 33.21 percent of the vote, while Councilwoman Catherine Way received 33.15 percent and Vice Mayor Dan Hillmer received 32.11 percent.
