Marin Event Helps Raise $70K For Fire Relief

SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA — Benefit events held simultaneously Friday, Dec. 1 at Bay Club Marin and Bay Club Courtside in Los Gatos — and on the air via San Francisco-based radio station, Alice@97.3 —brought in $70,000 for North Bay fire relief efforts.

According to organizers, funds raised during last week's Bay Club events went toward the nonprofit organization Tipping Point, which serves poverty-stricken Bay Area residents, and in this case, North Bay fire victims of limited financial means.

Additionally, Bay Club had already raised $5,000 for Tipping Point as part of Chefsgiving and prior to that, $77,000 for fire relief efforts, organizers said.
