Massive Larkspur Power Outage Blamed on Damaged Cable

Some 4,700 people lost power in the weekend outage.

LARKSPUR, CA- Damage to an underground cable caused power to go out Sunday to about 4,700 PG&E customers in Larkspur, a PG&E spokesman said.

Power went out at 8:46 a.m. after a cable was somehow damaged off of Bon Air Road, east of Magnolia Avenue, spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

By 9:50 a.m., power had been restored to about 2,400 customers and by 3:05 p.m. power to all customers had been restored.
