"Taking advantage of the campus's natural elements, a new West Bridge over Corte Madera Creek will provide an entrance to the newly constructed building that improves access to the campus from the south," college officials said on a facilities modernization web page about the project.
College of Marin began breaking ground for the building in mid-September of 2009 in the upper quadrant of the campus, according to the Echo Times, a college student-run newspaper.
