Police Investigate Possible Child Luring Attempt In Corte Madera
As a precaution, police will provide extra patrols in the area.

CORTE MADERA, CA – Police are investigating a possible child luring attempt in Corte Madera.
At about 3:50 p.m. Monday, an 11-year old girl was walking in the 100 block of Prince Royal Drive after getting off the bus after school. According to the Central Marin Police Authority, the girl said she was approached by a man in a minivan who asked if she wanted a ride home. He said he had other children in the van.
The girl said "no" and the van drove away, police said. She was unable to confirm that there were other passengers in the van.

The driver was described as white, about 40 years old, with a "scruffy" face and shoulder length, orange-colored dreadlocks. He was driving a late model gray Honda minivan.
The incident is still under investigation. Police are unaware of any similar incidents.
