Police Seek Corte Madera Attempted Bank Robbery Suspect

A "silent hold up alarm" was triggered Tuesday morning at the First Community Bank, near Madera Boulevard and Monona Drive in Corte Madera.

CORTE MADERA, CA – Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to rob a bank in Corte Madera Tuesday morning using a note.

A "silent hold up alarm" was triggered at the First Community Bank, near Madera Boulevard and Monona Drive, at 11:24 a.m.

The suspect, described as a black man in his mid-20s standing 6 feet tall with a slender build, entered the bank and handed a demand note to the teller before fleeing the scene in a red Toyota sedan.

The suspect was dressed in a long black jacket, black gloves and a boonie hat, according to police.

Despite implementing a county-wide roadblock, officers did not locate the suspect vehicle.
