TOWN CENTER CORTE MADERA TO HOST WORLD'S LARGEST TURKEY FOR THE 21ST CONSECUTIVE YEAR FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON
Giant Turkey will collect donations of canned food and dry goods for the SF-Marin Food Bank to help Marin families in need

Town Center Corte Madera will start the holiday giving season in style as it prepares for the 21st annual appearance of the World’s Largest Turkey, beginning on Friday, October 24 through December 31, 2014. Each year at holiday time, the Giant Turkey is a visual treat for shoppers and their families who come to support their community by donating food and toiletries for Marin County residents who need assistance. The giant turkey’s bobbing head greets visitors as shoppers donate their canned food, non-perishable items and toiletries which will be collected and distributed by the SF-Marin Food Bank. www.shoptowncenter.com
Town Center’s handsome giant turkey is a favorite attraction for Town Center customers who come to visit the Center’s many shops and restaurants. Over the years, the turkey has collected nearly 60 tons of canned food, non-perishable items and toiletries. These donations will help the Food Bank fill holiday baskets with useful items for those in need.
“We are extremely proud to host the World’s Giant Turkey at Town Center for the 21st consecutive year, said Stan Hoffman, General Manager of the Town Center. “Every year we are so pleased to see how many Marin residents participate in the food drive to help those who are less fortunate in our community.”

“The World’s Largest Turkey food drive is a sweet annual tradition that reminds our community to donate to those in need,” says Paul Ash, executive director of the SF-Marin Food Bank. “The Food Bank counts on the generosity of the community to ensure everyone have enough to eat. We couldn’t serve the one in four people at risk of hunger in Marin without donations from food drives like the giant turkey at Town Center. We are truly thankful for the contributions of our Marin residents.”
