Town Of Corte Madera: Budget Inn Demolition & Potential Traffic Impact

The owners of the Budget Inn motel, 706 Meadowsweet Drive, recently renewed both their demolition and building permits with the Town. This will allow property owners to begin their project which was delayed significantly due to the pandemic. Approved plans involve the complete demolition of all existing structures and call for the construction of a new, 22 unit hotel named, “The Evergreen”. Contractors have indicated they intend to start demolition during the week of August 15, 2021. Although contractors have submitted a construction management plan to mitigate parking and traffic concerns during construction, the project may result in temporary traffic delays during delivery of equipment and construction materials along Meadowsweet Drive and Casa Buena Drive during certain phases of construction.
