MASKS: Beginning December 15, 2021, the state will require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks in all indoor public settings. This applies to all sectors including bars, restaurants, gyms and retail environments. Surgical masks are required for unvaccinated workers in high-risk healthcare settings. The new statewide mask mandate will last through January 15, 2022, at which point California will make further recommendations as needed in response to the pandemic.  You can read the full guidance here.

TRAVEL: Effective immediately, all travelers arriving in California should be tested for COVID-19 three to five days after arrival, regardless of vaccination status. This aligns with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is not exclusive to just visitors from other states or countries. It also applies to California residents who are returning home from outside the state. Read the full advisory by clicking here.

Moving from hours to days will be easier for venues. This guidance is effective immediately for large-scale events with an indoor audience of 1,000 or more people.  Read the full guidance by clicking here.
