Woman Dies After North Bay Assault

VALLEJO, CA - A Vallejo woman who was assaulted by a man Thursday night died later at a hospital, a police lieutenant said. Police responded around 10 p.m. to a report of a woman being assaulted in the 400 block of Wallace Avenue.

Police found the injured woman in a driveway and she was taken to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries, Lt. Fabio Rodriguez said.

Police arrested the male suspect but have not released his name or photo and the victim's identity will not be released until her next of kin have been notified, Rodriguez said.
