• Initial results in for two Mendocino County supervisor races • The Mendocino Voice (mendovoice.com) — Laytonville residents are seeing early results in the key District 3 supervisor race that represents their area, with Eric Hart narrowly leading a crowded field as ballots continue to be counted. Initial tallies also show incumbent Ted Williams ahead in District 5, and final certified results will come after all Election Day and mail-in votes are processed over the next month.

• State allocates $16.3 million to Mendocino County highway repairs (record-bee.com) — Laytonville drivers should know that Caltrans has allocated about $800,000 for emergency culvert replacement on U.S. 101 near town after heavy March 2025 rains, as part of $16.3 million in Mendocino County highway repairs. Additional projects on Route 1 and 101 near Elk, Piercy, Rockport, and Pieta aim to fix storm damage and improve drainage across the region.
