Sheriff's Blotter: Assaults, Cruelty to a Child, and Threat to a School Among Recent Crimes Reported

Assaults with a deadly weapon, a threat to a school, and cruelty to a child were among the crimes recently reported in Lemon Grove.

Sunday, April 21

• Felony vehicle theft reported at 5:55 a.m. in the 1700 block of San Altos Place.
  

Saturday, April 20

• Misdemeanor petty theft reported at 7:12 p.m. in the 2700 block of Massachusetts Ave.
  

• Felony assault with a deadly weapon reported at 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Federal Boulevard.

Friday, April 19

• Misdemeanor drunk in public, drugs or combination reported at 11:40 p.m. in the 7300 block of Broadway.

• Felony threat to a school, public officer, employee reported at 9:44 a,m. in the 7600 block of Pacific Ave. 

Thursday, April 18

• Felony burglary (shoplifting – reported at 5:47 a.m. in the 7500 block of Broadway.

• Misdemeanor drunk in public, alcohol, drugs, or a combination reported at 2:04 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Massachusetts Avenue.

• Other sex crime – reported at 1:25 p.m. in the 7900 block of Blossom Lane. 

• Felony possession of a controlled substance – reported at 10:36 a.m. in the 3300 block of New Jersey Ave.

• Misdemeanor drunk in public, alcohol, drugs, or a combo – reported at 4 a.m. in the 2000 block of Ensenada St.

• Misdemeanor battery on a person -  reported at 6:08 p.m. at Broadway and Lemon Grove Avenue.

• Felony assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm) – reported at 9:30 a.m. in  the 7000 block of Mt. Vernon St.

Tuesday, April 16

• Felony willful cruelty to child, with injury/death – reported at 8:10 p.m. in the 7100 block of Westview Place.

• Misdemeanor drink in public, alcohol, drugs, or a combination – reported at 4:23 p.m. in the 7000 block of Broadway.
  

Monday, April 15

• Misdemeanor battery on a person – reported at 10:10 p.m. in the 3000 block of Crane St.
  

• Felony vehicle theft – reported at 5:30 p.m. in the 6400 block of Federal Boulevard.

• Other sex crime – reported at 4 p.m. in the 8300 block of Blossom Lane.
