Sweetwater Woman's Club

For 115 years, the Sweetwater Woman’s Club has been a cornerstone of service and connection in Bonita and the South Bay, bringing generations together in the spirit of community. This legacy continues on April 17–18, 2026, as the Club hosts its beloved Spring Garden and Craft Show at its charming, historic clubhouse 3855 Sweetwater Road, Bonita,&nbsp;California. Set against a backdrop of rustic beauty and rich history, the event will feature local artisans, a vibrant plant sale, raffles, and more—all in support of scholarships for students in the Sweetwater Union High School District. With $20,000 in scholarships awarded in both 2025 and 2026, the Club’s dedication to empowering local youth remains as strong as ever. It is a celebration not only of creativity and community, but of a lasting commitment to making a meaningful difference.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a fast-paced and funny D-E-L-I-G-H-T. As six wonderfully unique and impassioned contestants vie for the championship by spelling their way through vexing vocabulary, hilarious and poignant personal stories unfold…along with a dash of delightful audience participation. As contestants white-knuckle adolescence and the heat of competition, their emotions run from A to Z — but they step up to the mic anyway because they love spelling, and because being a champion could solve everything.&nbsp;
With music and lyrics by Tony Award® winner William Finn and a book by Tony Award® winner Rachel Sheinkin, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is about the little wins that carry us through life’s many awkward spells.&nbsp;

 Lemon Grove, CA — April 17, 2026 — The Lemon Grove Forward Club is proud to serve as a sponsor of “Sanctified in Swing” a vibrant community fundraiser benefiting the Lemon Grove Arts Collective. This special evening of live entertainment will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM at The Neighborhood, located at 7963 Broadway in Lemon Grove.
 Presented by The Neighborhood and the Lemon Grove Arts Collective, “Sanctified in Swing” will feature an engaging mix of Jazz, Blues, R&amp;B, and spoken word, showcasing the incredible talents of Leslie Green and Roosevelt Carter. The event promises an inspiring and soulful experience that celebrates music, storytelling, and community connection.
 Tickets are $20 and proceeds from the event will directly support the Lemon Grove Arts Collective, helping to strengthen arts and culture in the community.
