Community Gardens in Lemon Grove

There are many benefits to having a community garden. The benefits include, but are not limited to providing an heightened sense of community ownership and stewardship; providing people with the opportunity to grow and eat low-cost high-quality fruits and vegetables; serving as effective community crime prevention resource; providing recreational opportunities for youth and elderly, and teaches important lessons about where food comes from and about eating healthy.

At Saturday's Thrive Lemon Grove meeting, a group of members formed a subcommittee to  help start community gardening in Lemon Grove. The subcommittee includes elected officials, residents, and gardeners. We need your support. If you are interested in being part of the process, please contact Matthew Talicuran at AAcresfarm@gmail.com or call him at (442) 229-0163.
